We pride ourselves on our Racket expertise and knowledge, we are especially passionate about stringing and customising your racket.
All staff here at Withers play rackets sports, some to a high level! By stating this, we are emphasising that we understand and take great pride in how Rackets perform and, if not more important, how strings can alter a racket and YOUR performance.
We only use top string brands. Brands that are regularly used on the ATP and WTA tour ….. Babolat, Head, Wilson, Tecnifibre, Luxilon, Yonex, Solinco … to name a few.
Same day String Service
We do offer a Same Day / while you wait Restring Service. Give us a call if you need this – your Racket will need booking in to guarantee this service. It enables us to reserve you a machine and a time slot!
Racket Customisation
This is a very specialist service that we offer. By identifying your Rackets weight, balance and swing weight and then through chatting with you about what you are wanting, we can customise the racket to your needs! Give us a call to find out more 0116 2622113
Records of your Stringing
We keep a record of what we have done for you. Date of restring, type of string (and gauge), tension … basically all relevant information … so next time, if you liked what we have done (or more importantly the way your racket played), we can do the same equally if was not quite right, we can adjust accordingly.
Stringing at two locations
Our main Stringing location is at our City Centre Branch at 6 Carts Lane, Leicester … This is where we do most of our stringing and we open Tuesday – Saturday 9am – 5.30pm.
Our other location is at Leicestershire Lawn Tennis and Squash Club. Please note our opening times (that do vary seasonally). The emphasis here is evening opening. Opening Times – Weds evening 6pm-8pm, Thurs evening 4pm-7pm, Friday evening 6pm-8pm and Sat morning 9am-12 midday ( PLEASE CALL / CHECK BEFORE AS WE DO ALTER OUR OPENING TIMES )

Heat sleeve Racket Grip build up | £10 per racket / heat sleeve We offer 2 sizes of Heat sleeve… one increases the grip size up by a full grip size and the other increases it by only a half a size. |
Racket customisation | Please give us a call about this service as charges depend on a couple of factors. Such as, how long the work takes and how much material is used. We do have a minimum charge of £20 |
