Description
The Astrox range are Yonex’s most attack orientated rackets. Astrox rackets are known as ‘counterbalance’ frames. This means they will offer a more precise weight distribution throughout the grip end, frame top and joint, thus increasing the rotational power the racket provides.
Although not made in Japan, the Astrox 88S Tour has all the benefits and qualities, of that of the Pro model. Control the front court with the Yonex Astrox 88S Tour, designed to be more manoeuvrable than its D counterpart, the 88S Tour also has an expanded sweet spot allowing you to benefit from improved levels of control due to increased shuttle hold. The Tour model is 5mm longer than standard, meaning you won’t lose out of power too.
The new Power Assist bumper, which can be found across all of the 88S models brings increased power as the weight is directed into the shuttle via a tungsten infused bumper. It also features an energy boost cap, which is uniquely shaped to maximise shaft performance, whilst also helping to stabilise the racket face by preventing the shaft from twisting. The 88D Tour has a higher flex point which allows the shuttle to stay on the string bed longer, increasing your acceleration and power through the shuttle.
Please note, that no head cover is supplied with this racket.
Technology:
AEROBOX Frame: A combination of faster swing speeds and a solid feel
Isometric: Increases the size of your sweet spot
Expanded Sweet Spot: The tailored 5mm longer racquet length enables fast maneuverability, while the expansion of the sweet spot area by optimising the frame design increases precision. Supports fast rallies and secures points from front court attacks.
2G-Namd Flex Force: The innovative graphite “2G-Namd Flex Force” used in the shaft, characterised by its quick flex and snapback, maximises shot power and advances the performance of the Rotational Generator System.
Slim Shafts: Designed to slice through the air, generating speedy power.
Energy Boost Cap/Plus: Uniquely shaped cap which maximises shaft performance. The front allows the shaft to flex, while the sides arch-shaped curve stabilises the racket face by preventing the shaft from twisting.
Rexis Shaft: Rexis is a high-performance shaft precisely designed through an advanced moulding technique with high-quality performance graphite.
Power Assist Bumper: Attached to enforce heavier, increased power by configuring the weight directed into the shuttlecock with a tungsten-infused nylon bumper.
