The Astrox range are Yonex’s most attack orientated rackets and are known as ‘counterbalance’ frames. This means they will offer a more precise weight distribution throughout the grip end, frame top and joint, therefore, increasing the rotational power the racket provides.
The Yonex Astrox 88S Game is designed for the front to mid-court player, who is looking to dominate the court with a skilful attacking game, whilst being a more affordable option compared to the 88D Pro and Tour versions. Featuring a slim rexis shaft, which will cut through the air quicker, allowing for a stronger, more intense shot.
A new lightweight adhesive, Volume Cut Resin, brings an enhanced counterweight balance across the grip, t-joint and top of the frame. It also features a new energy boost cap, which is allows the shaft to flex and stabilises the racket face by preventing the shaft twisting, increasing control.
The 88S Game has a medium flex on the shaft which allows the shuttle to stay on the string bed longer, increasing your acceleration and power through the shuttle.
Nanomesh Neo: Ensures a stronger more flexible frame, while increased shaft flex creates maximum power
AEROBOX Frame – A combination of faster swing speeds and a solid feel
Isometric – Increases the size of your sweet spot
Rotational Generator System: By applying the counterbalance theory, weight is distributed throughout the grip end, frame top and the joint for maximum control. The transition to the next shot can be performed smoothly with rapid succession
Energy Boost Cap – The new shape allows the shaft to flex and stabilises the racket face by preventing the shaft twisting, increasing control
Volume Cut – A powerful lightweight adhesive, for enhanced counterweight balance across the grip end, joint and frame top
