Choose your string

String choice is incredibly important as the string is what makes contact with the shuttle. There’s a number of factors to take into account, such as construction, gauge, tension. A thinner gauge string will pull up tighter, increasing the potential for more power and control, but durability will be sacrificed. Below we’ve put together a short description for the range of strings that we offer. If you have any questions about string choice please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Yonex Aerobite 0.67mm x 0.61mm:A hybrid combination with alternating gauges and coatings. Your main string is textured with a rough feel to it allowing the string to grip the shuttle more for those precise cut smashes or hairpin net shots. Whilst your cross string is ‘Aerosonic’ providing you with ultimate power and a high hitting sound. The ultimate combination!
Yonex Aersonic 0.61mm:The world’s thinnest string provides you with maximum power and an extremely high hitting sound. Featuring a new “compact filled” construction which has allowed the gaps between the core and outer threads to be filled with resin to provide extra durability for such a thin gauge!
Yonex BG65Ti 0.70mm:Our best selling string, suitable for a variety of players from beginners to advanced competitors. A titanium coating on the string increases durability and also enhances the power you can generate from the string. Still used by many of the world’s top players.
Yonex BG66 Ultimax 0.65mm:A perfect balance of speed, control and durability. One of our most popular strings that is being used at the moment. High intensity multifilament and a thin gauge offers more power and control, but you will sacrifice durability. It also offers a very crisp hitting sound.
Yonex BG68Ti 0.68mm:A thinner, more control orientated version of BG65Ti. A titanium coating on the string increases durability and also enhances the power you can generate from the string.
Yonex BG80 0.68mm:Suited for the harder hitters, this string has a high Modulus Vectran Fibre coiled around the multi-filament construction to give better tension maintenance and reduce string movement.
Yonex BG80 Power 0.68mm:Suited for the harder hitters, this string has a high Modulus Vectran Fibre coiled around the multi-filament construction to give better tension maintenance and reduce string movement. Offers a more solid, hard feel compared to BG80.
Yonex Exbolt 0.63mmForged fibre generates a high hitting sound on powerful smashes and clears. A combination of quick repulsion and durability.
Yonex Exbolt 0.65mmA specially braided forged fibre enhances durability whilst the high intensity nylon multifilament offers a solid feel for powerful smashes.
