Leicestershire Mens Over 45s

Leicestershire Mens Over 45 Team competed in the European Over 45 Club Champs in Barcelona.

The Team consisted of

  • Steve Brett (Withers, LFE & Leicestershire)
  • Jon Ison (Leicestershire & David Lloyd)
  • Leon Hilliard (LFE, Leicestershire & David Lloyd)
  • Steve Stroud (LFE, Leicestershire & David Lloyd)
  • Tim Davies (Oakham & Leicestershire)

It was a strong competition with many ex ATP top 100 players competing. Leicestershire made it to a very credible quarter final place loosing to a very strong Swiss Team.

    Well done boys today (23rd Oct.) for beating Winchester Tennis Club in the semi final . Winchester had GB players in their team so yet another good victory . This means we have already qualified for next years 2012 event that I believe could be played in Italy. Fantastic effort.
