The Astrox range are Yonex’s most attack orientated rackets and have super seeded the out-going Voltric range. Astrox rackets are known as ‘counterbalance’ frames. This means they will offer a more precise weight distribution throughout the grip end, frame top and joint, thus increasing the rotational power the racket provides.
Out of all the Astrox frames that are Japanese made, the Astrox 55 is the lightest model, helping to generate exceptional manoeuvrability and quicker racket head speed. Longer in length than a conventional racket by 10mm, sees the Astrox 55 generate you more power. Namd is embedded throughout the frame to produce more flex with a faster snap back, which in turn, delivers more power. As is with all Yonex rackets, this features their famous Isometric head shape which will increase the sweet spot on the racket. Therefore, even if you are hitting slightly off centre, you will find it a lot more forgiving compared to a conventional head shape.
The Astrox is an attack-orientated model which can take the lead in a high-speed game with a design that can deliver powerful, steep smashes, allowing you to dominate the court.
Rotational Generator System: By applying the counterbalance theory, weight is distributed throughout the grip end, frame top and the joint for maximum control. The transition to the next shot can be performed smoothly with rapid succession.
Namd: Utilising high quality Namd graphite throughout the frame produces more flex with a faster snap back, unleashing dramatic steep power.
New Built-in-T-Joint – The lightweight T-Joint increases stability of the shuttle on the strings, maximising power and control.
Isometric: Increases the size of your sweet spot.
