Leicestershire Mens Over 35 Team ( pictured above ) represented Great Britain in the European Over 35 Team Championships. Sponsored by Withers Online they came a very credible 5th place. Taking into account the quality of the opposition that included many current and ex professional players, claiming 5th spot was no mean achievement. Having already qualified for next years competition they are already looking forward to go at least one better.

Mark receives 1:1 training or group sessions 5 nights a week.Most weekends he is either playing for the county or in junior challenges.Mark is No.3 in Leicestershire and since the age of 12 he has been playing No.2.
Career Highlights:
- Reaching the semi-finals of the singles and final of doubles at the 2005 County Championships.
- Reaching the finals of singles and doubles at the Birmingham Bonanza Challenge in 2006.
- Reaching the Semi-finals of the Nationals and losing to the number 2 doubles pair in the Country.
- Reaching the finals of the doubles at the Berkshire junior Challenge.
- Reaching the semi-finals of the Anglia junior Challenge.
- Reaching the semi-finals in doubles at the Lincolnshire Open.
- Reaching the semi-finals in doubles at the York junior Challenge.
THE LANCASTER BOYS TENNIS SQUAD
Withers Intersport are proud to be associated with the Lancaster Boys Tennis Squad. Under the watchful guidance of Head Coach Chris Whitmore, they have been achieving over the past few years. Notably last season reaching the final stages of the 'Nestle' nationwide inter-schools tennis championships. They are currently competing in the same competition this year, we will watch their progress with interest.
